Hi friends, I'm Ron Wilder. I grew up as a military brat and moved 7 times before I was 10 years old. I loved sports and theater growing up, but my focus was on being a super high achiever in high school (valedictorian), college (Emory), and graduate school (Stanford). While I picked up an amazing business skill set, the problem was that I never really felt truly happy or free. I thought that if I could just achieve enough that I could hide the painful dysfunction of alcoholism and codependency that trapped my otherwise loving and amazing parents. That never worked. These experiences shaped one of my core questions and explorations in life --  is it possible, and if so how, to completely transcend your origins and create a life that you truly desire.

My coaching career started unintentionally 25 years ago as a strategy consultant when I discovered that my clients cared less about the reports I was giving them and instead wanted my wisdom and guidance. I realized I had a gift for guiding CEOs on how to be and to do what is an incredibly unique job -- the job of the CEO. I intentionally created Aligned Action in 2004 as the vehicle to work with CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business owners to help them become great leaders and build thriving businesses. If you've read Wealth Warrior, you know I got off to a very rocky start, but I got my act together, committed to learning how to create clients, and never looked back. I wrote a couple of books along the way. Aligned Action: The Key to CEO Effectiveness and Clear Your Hidden Profit Blockers

My path as a self-employed entrepreneur and father is inextricably linked with my journey as a martial artist. My coaching business was a vehicle to create the functional loving family that I so desired, as it challenged me every day to look in the mirror and remove every vestige of dysfunction whenever and wherever I found it. Martial arts became the mirror to reflect and master myself. I earned a black belt in Hapkido and then set it aside for a white belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, starting a new path of learning and discovery. Without fail, every time that I made a leap in my martial arts abilities, my business made a leap to a new level. Studying and teaching Jiu-Jitsu is my true passion, as it teaches you to go from reactive to responsive to creative on the mat and in all areas of your life.

After sixteen years of building and working I am putting all of my energy and focus into my new project:  The CEO Dojo -- Where Leaders Come to Train. When you are ready to go to the next level, the CEO Dojo is the place to come train -- to equip yourself for the opportunities and challenges ahead. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
